Snails!

Each year I kick off the Biology class by having the students observe snails. It's so easy to get lost in molecular structures and sliced up organs that we forget that Biology is really about living things - and this is a good way for me to remind the students of this. Plus, I have fun watching them scream as they touch their new snail friends ;)
